Daniel R. Tipton, President and CEO

Dan is a savvy communications executive who brings more than 20 years of corporate, small business, and nonprofit communications experience to your service.

He founded Tipton Communications in 2005 after serving as director of communications for MBNA Corporation, a Fortune 200 company (now part of Bank of America), for more than a decade. During that time, Dan directed and developed an award-winning communications program, managed a multi-million dollar budget and a global staff of more than 20 talented communicators, and supported the company’s rapid growth around the world.

He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and also earned his MBA at the school. Dan now serves the University of Delaware as an adjunct professor in the Communication department. He also serves on the boards of Junior Achievement of Delaware and Public Allies Delaware, and formerly directed the Crozier Foundation, which has helped thousands of young people in Delaware and Canada.

 

 

Karen White, Creative Director

Karen joined Tipton Communications in early 2008 and has quickly earned accolades from the company’s clients for the consistent excellence and creativity of her design work. She has produced and managed a wide range of print and Web-based design work, e-newsletters and magazines for Fortune 500 clients, technology firms, and service industry leaders, as well as pro bono assignments for local not-for-profit agencies.

Karen previously served as art director at Siemens Medical and as freelance art director on projects for St. Francis Hospital, The University of the Arts, Alvernia College, Delaware County Community College, and many other organizations in the Philadelphia region.

Karen is a graduate of The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

 

 

Doug Eppler, Communications Manager

Doug joined Tipton Communications in 2010 and brings more than 15 years of experience to the company. His extensive background includes nearly 10 years in the communications department of MBNA Corporation (now part of Bank of America) and public relations and marketing management in the legal and tourism industries.


Doug’s diverse strengths include newsletter, magazine, and internet content; executive correspondence; advertising copy; speechwriting; proofreading and editing; and media interactions.


He is a summa cum laude graduate of Cabrini College and an accomplished semi-professional theatrical performer.



 

 

Michelle Beuscher, Senior Project Manager and Communications Consultant

Michelle is currently guiding one of the nation’s most respected hospitals through the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet application process. A talented technical editor and project manager, Michelle is a certified ISO auditor with a long history of experience in the graphics and printing industries.

 

In her previous role as an independent consultant, Michelle served as a corporate trainer and analyst. She is particularly proud of her work as project manager and editor for a 300-page technical specifications manual for the Flexographic Technical Association.

 

Michelle has a master’s degree in industrial education and a bachelor’s degree in graphic communication from Clemson University.
